MedEd Programs in Monongalia County Schools

The West Virginia Department of Education and local media received an inside look at the MedEd program at Morgantown High School in February.  Students in the program train for the Sterile Processing and Ambulatory Care tracks their junior year at MHS with some immersive learning at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital - WVU Medicine during the year.  Students are placed in one of the two programs their senior year and will receive paid on-the-job training at the hospital during the second semester.  Upon graduation, students will have opportunities for full-time employment or will have attained a head start in their academics for higher education options.

The MedEd Sterile Processing and Ambulatory Care programs are available at Morgantown High and University High Schools.  A MedEd Pharmacy Technician program is available at MTEC.
