Bridge to Math 1 & Beyond (ONLINE) - Spend this summer strengthening your mathematical skill sets in preparation for Math 1 and beyond during this eight-week, online summer course that will provide weekly instructional videos, practice activities, and live instruction and assistance with MCS certified teachers. This online format will benefit high school students working summer jobs and taking part in other Summer Avalanche sessions. Practice on your own time, in your own way!

Teen Scholar’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse – Utilizing material such as the CDC's Zombie Preparedness activities and the prodigious outdoor space at University High, students will learn a variety of real fundamental skills, such as map reading and land navigation, teamwork, leadership and wilderness survival aid skills.

Introduction to RPG Design (ONLINE) – Students will learn some of the core elements of game design as they explore minimalist role-playing games (RPGs). Students interested in

pen-and-paper RPG's, such as Dungeons & Dragons, as well as those interested in the design of video games, will be able to build the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to enter the growing field of game design.

DATES: July 6-9 (Tuesday-Friday); July 12-15 (Monday-Thursday)

Solving Problems through RPG (ONLINE) – Students can participate and learn the basics of tabletop role-playing games. Students will have the opportunity to hone their social skills, as well as be introduced to facets of creative writing, while strengthening reading comprehension.
