Credit Recovery is an online program that allows students to recovery skills and concepts that not have been mastered in courses that have been failed. Our credit recovery facilitators and your student's school counselor will help your student by selecting the proper courses needed to meet the WV State graduation requirements. Students must complete coursework on their own time based on the timelines set by the credit recovery facilitator.
Tom Belden, our lead credit recovery facilitator, will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 until 4:30 pm to unlock assignments, grade, etc throughout the school year. He can be reached at email@example.com

Summer School 2021 Information
Morgantown High School, in coordination with Monongalia County Schools, will be hosting in-person summer credit recovery this summer. Summer Credit Recovery is being offered for free for the 2021 Summer Session. This program should be utilized by students to recover credits needed for high school graduation that were failed during the Spring 2021 term or for students who need to finish credit recovery that has been started previously. All credit recovery must be completed by August 1, 2021. Any student who is planning on attending summer school must fill out the form on the link listed below.
Summer 2021 Session
Any student who has a failing grade on their report card in the following content areas should sign up for summer school.
- Social Studies
If your student has failed additional content areas they will need to work with their grade level counselor to recover the credits during the academic year.
Students must finish 100% of the course with a passing grade by August 1, 2021 to earn credit. If they fail to meet this requirement they will be signed up to take the course in the classroom during the 21-22 school year and their credit recovery accounts will be deactivated. Students who are not passing the required classes for graduation may put themselves at risk of not graduating on time.
Students must attend the following sessions at Morgantown High School from 9 am – 1 pm. Once they have fully completed their coursework they will not need to continue attending summer school.
- June 28 – June 30
- July 6 – July 8
- July 12 – July 15
- July 19 – July 22
- July 26 – July 29
Our credit recovery facilitators will determine which classes would be best for your student to complete based on graduation requirements.
Our credit recovery facilitators and staff will email students and parents their login credentials through the email address provided on the credit recovery application. If you have not received login credentials yet, the student’s login is there full student ID number (wveis number) and the password is: morgantown (all lower case). Students will also receive this information on the first day of summer school. If students receive login credentials prior to summer school starting, they are highly encouraged to begin working on the content.
The county will be offering limited transportation throughout the July sessions. This information will be released on the Monongalia County Schools website by the beginning of July or you may contact the transportation department.
