Ready Freddie – School readiness program prepares incoming kindergarten students for their first early childhood experience. Activities will boost children’s social-emotional development and increase their awareness of classroom routines.

Money Talks – Using currency, cooperation and some critical thinking, students will strengthen their math and social skills during this four-day crash course.

Baton Twirling – Students will learn the basics of baton twirling while benefiting from some sunny (and safe) social interactions and confidence building activities!

Reading Explorers – “Brain drain” and “summer slide” won’t stand a chance in these four-day sessions designed to boost reading skills and comprehension while taking students on fun-filled, fictional journeys!

STEM Olympics – Our little learners will strengthen their critical thinking and social skills as they bounce between competitions and teamwork challenges, all geared toward enhancing student interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)!

Reading Heroes – Through dramatic and engaging read-alouds and interactive literacy activities, this program will help strengthen reading comprehension and give students the confidence to explore new literary worlds of their choosing!

Knitting a Good Story – Students will craft and create in more ways than one during this four-day summer session designed to teach them the basics of knitting while they learn to tie up loose ends in their story-writing.

Books in the Barnyard – Students will become well acquainted with Mason Dixon Elementary’s “grassy fields” while they explore literary concepts through hands-on activities and enjoy some outdoor reading time.

Geometric Designs – This four-day camp will add up to time well-spent as students use manipulatives to turn abstract math concepts in more concrete constructs!

Library Time - Spend some time catching up on your favorite reads, or jumping into hands-on activities to strengthen literacy and comprehension skills! This program serves as a good go-between or afternoon stop-over for kids looking for a way to finish out the day!
